Who we are.

We are a group of ordinary people who have been transformed by the grace of God.

 

Ballee Baptist Church is an independent fellowship, founded in 1968, with no affiliations with any other Church or Association.​

 

We are located at 166 Toome Road, Ballymena (beside the cemetery).

Our Mission.

MISSION

A Place for Worship.

The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of these occasions is a special time of spiritual refreshment. We hope this is what you desire also.

A Place for Learning.

To us, studying the Bible is vital because it not only instructs us intellectually but also guides us spiritually. We believe it and accept it as God's Word to us, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today. Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure.

A Place for Enrichment.

For every person at every age level we offer a wealth of opportunities - special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults which fill the church calendar. You can be sure that in this centre of activities there's more than one place where you can be personally enriched.

Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. That's why we make it a priority to build lasting bonds between the members of our church family - bonds of concern and genuine commitment to one another. Best of all, this circle of care is ever widening. We'd love for it to include you, too.

A Place for Service.

Just as Jesus Christ came "not to be ministered unto, but to minister..." we accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. This applies both within the church family and outside our fellowship. We look forward to serving you, and we hope to see you soon.

Our Beliefs.

Complete acceptance of the following doctrines is a requirement for membership of Ballee Baptist:

BELIEFS

The Bible.

  • The verbal inspiration, and the all and sole-sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as originally given. 

BELIEFS

The Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The Essential Deity and Perfect Humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The Substitutionary Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The Justification of the sinner through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 

  • The personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

BELIEFS

Salvation.

  • The Personal Election to Salvation.

  • The resurrection of the body. 

  • The eternal security of the believer.

  • The priesthood of all believers. 

BELIEFS

The Trinity.

  • The Trinity in unity of the God-Head.

BELIEFS

The Holy Spirit.

  • The Personality of the Holy Spirit.

BELIEFS

Man and Sin.

  • The depraved and fallen state of man through sin.

  • The immortality of the soul.

  • The conscious eternal punishment of those who die impenitent.

  • The personality of the Devil. 

BELIEFS

The Church.

  • The responsibility of all saved souls to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present age.

  • The binding character of the ordinances of the Lord's Supper and the Baptism of believers.

Who leads our church?
Our leadership team are known as Office Bearers, made up of Elders and Deacons.
Deacons are elected annually at our Members Meeting, with those elected to serve from March 2026 to March 2027 listed below.
