Coronavirus Statement

The Oversight of Ballee Baptist Church have agreed to take the next step in resuming services in the church building.

The church is now open for allow people to attend the morning service.  The number of people who can be accommodated will be severely restricted as a socially distanced seating plan will be in use.

Anyone wishing to attend Sunday morning services should register their interest by texting name, contact details and number of places required to the Church Secretary on church mobile number 07484 138480 or emailing secretary@balleebaptist.org who will allocate available seats. Should it not be possible to accommodate everyone at a particular service those not assigned places will be allocated seats at a future service.  Only those who have received confirmation of a seat should come to the church on the relevant Sunday.

Please note there will be no Children’s Church or Creche facilities and families must sit together.

The Elders are satisfied that Ballee Baptist Church can exercise an exemption from mandatory wearing of face masks at services under the current legislation.  The wearing of face coverings at services is therefore optional and a personal choice for those who attend.  Disposable face masks are available for anyone wishing to use them.

While many long to attend church once again there may be a concern at coming into gatherings at this time.  Oversight fully understand such concerns and do not want anyone to feel under pressure to attend until they are confident it is safe for them to do so.

Sunday services will continue to be broadcast via livestreaming on Sermonaudio and Facebook at 11:30am and 6:30pm. These services can be accessed via Facebook, Sermonaudio or via the church website and clicking on the Sermonaudio link. They can also be accessed afterwards again on the church website www.balleebaptist.org.

The mid-week Bible Study will resume via livestreaming on Tuesday 8th September.

If you do not have access to the internet for live broadcasts then please advise one of the Elders, or contact the Church Secretary, and we will arrange for CDs to be delivered to you.

The church is eager to provide support for our vulnerable members so if anyone has to
self-isolate or requires assistance please contact the Church Secretary on 07484 138480 or email: secretary@balleebaptist.org and we will endeavour to help.

We look forward to the time if God’s will that we will be able to meet safely as a fellowship once again.

The activities, days, times and formats detailed in this section refer to 'normal times'. Things may differ during and post lockdown so please refer to our Schedule section below for this month's activities.

What We Do

If you are searching for a Church home, we'd like you to know that there's a special place here just for you. Take a look through the various areas of ministry below to see what happens at Ballee Baptist Church.

Sunday Morning Worship

Sundays at 11:30 am

Each Sunday morning we have Morning Worship.  This service has a traditional feel and includes a mix of hymn singing, prayers, children's address and teaching from God's Word.  Pastor Kennedy is normally the speaker, but from time to time it's a visiting speaker.

Normally Pastor Kennedy undertakes a series on Sunday mornings.  Our current series is entitled Hope In A Hopeless World.

This service is followed by our Breaking of Bread service where we meet at the Lord's Table to remember his death upon the cross for our sins.

Bible Studies

The Bible Study will recommence on Tuesday 8th September.  Throughout September these Bible Studies will be live streamed from the church each Tuesday evening but there will be no congregation.

Wednesdays 8:00 PM

Prayer Meetings

We will meet together in the church (socially distanced) on Wednesday 2nd September at 8:00pm for our fellowship prayer meeting. This will be repeated on Wednesday 9th, 16th and 23rd September.

We are mindful of those who have been enjoying the Zoom prayer meetings and who will be unable to join us in the church, so on the last Wednesday evening of the month (30th September) we will not meet at the church but will instead have a Zoom prayer meeting.  If you would like to join this, you should contact Trevor Gillan. Members who are signed up for member texts will receive the meeting details by text and will not need to contact Trevor.

During this time, please pray one for another and also for those in the frontline in the NHS and emergency services remembering that we have a number of our church family who work in the medical, fire and police services.

Pray also for our nation and our community that God would be gracious to us and not only bring this epidemic to an end but also use this emergency to draw people to Himself.

Our Mission

A Place for Worship

The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of these occasions is a special time of spiritual refreshment. We hope this is what you desire also.

A Place for Learning

To us, studying the Bible is vital because it not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually. We believe it and accept it as God's Word to us, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today. Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure.

A Place for Enrichment

For every person at every age level we offer a wealth of opportunities - special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults which fill the church calendar. You can be sure that in this centre of activities there's more that one place where you can be personally enriched.

A Place for Friendship

Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. That's why we make it a priority to build lasting bonds between the members of our church family - bonds of concern and genuine commitment to one another. Best of all, this circle of care is ever widening. We'd love for it to include you, too.

A Place for Service

Just as Jesus Christ came "not to be ministered unto, but to minister..." we accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. This applies both within the church family and outside our fellowship. We look forward to serving you, and we hope to see you soon.

What We Believe

The complete acceptance of the following Doctrines of Faith is expected from all who become members.

  • The verbal inspiration, and the all and sole-sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as originally given.

  • The Trinity in unity of the God-Head.

  • The Essential Deity and Perfect Humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The Personality of the Holy Spirit.

  • The Personal Election to Salvation.

  • The depraved and fallen state of man through sin.

  • The Substitutionary Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The Justification of the sinner through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The personality of the Devil.

  • The immortality of the soul.

  • The personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The resurrection of the body.

  • The eternal security of the believer.

  • The conscious eternal punishment of those who die impenitent.

  • The priesthood of all believers.

  • The binding character of the ordinances of the Lord's Supper.

  • The baptism of believers and the responsibility of all saved souls to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present age.

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

Psalm 122:1
