2021 Good News Calendar

Supporting the GNC Christmas Outreach Initiative

GNC Christmas Outreach.jpg

This year, the Good News Club have produced calendars as a Christmas outreach, with verses of scripture to bring hope and encouragement in the months ahead.
Calendars shall be available in both the foyer and church hall at all services this week, alongside a donation box.  Please feel free to take a calendar(s), both for your own use and as Christmas gifts for others, and place your donation in the box provided.
If you are unable to attend a service and wish to get a calendar, please contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements.
Monies raised will be used to support the work amongst children here in our hometown and further afield.
We pray these will be a blessing to many as they bring God's word into homes throughout 2021.

Coronavirus Statement

Since recommencing services in August, the Church Oversight of Ballee Baptist Church has endeavoured to closely follow Government guidelines relating to the Covid-19 pandemic including:

* Development of Risk Assessments before recommencement of all activities

* Social distancing

* Track and Trace of attendees at all meetings

* Stringent cleaning programme

* Wearing of face coverings as outlined by Government

* Provision of hand sanitisers/gel at all entries/exits

Sadly, Ballee Baptist Church has had a number of positive cases among attendees at services on Sunday 22 November 2020 and Monday, 23rd November 2020.  We have notified the Public Health Agency and are currently following their advice on next steps.

We are continuing to proactively engage with the PHA to safely manage this situation and to ensure a safe and timely reopening in due course.

As part of our liaison with the Public Health Agency (PHA), we took the decision to offer all those present at our services and activities on Sunday, 22nd and Monday 23rd November 2020 testing to manage the situation and help protect the wider community.  Details regarding this testing initiative are contained within the PHA letter which can also be found on the Church website.

View PHA Letter here

Individuals who test positive will be required to self-isolate for 10 days. All close contacts of positive cases will be required to self-isolate for 14 days.

Given the current Government restrictions, which came into effect today, the Church is now closed for the next two weeks.  During this time a deep clean will be carried out on the building.”

The activities, days, times and formats detailed in this section refer to 'normal times'. Things may differ during and post lockdown so please refer to our Schedule section below for this month's activities.

What We Do

If you are searching for a Church home, we'd like you to know that there's a special place here just for you. Take a look through the various areas of ministry below to see what happens at Ballee Baptist Church.

Sunday Morning Worship

Sundays at 11:30 am

Each Sunday morning we have Morning Worship.  This service has a traditional feel and includes a mix of hymn singing, prayers, children's address and teaching from God's Word.  Pastor Anderson is normally the speaker, but from time to time it's a visiting speaker.

Normally Pastor Anderson undertakes a series of teachings on Sunday mornings.  Currently we are studying a series on Hebrews 11 entitled 'The Framework for Christian Living'.

This service is followed by our Breaking of Bread service where we meet at the Lord's Table to remember his death upon the cross for our sins.

26 Nov - 11 Dec 2020

Mystery Island: Tracking Down The One True God

Ahoy, kids!

Welcome to Mystery Island, where we had our Holiday Bible Club this year and where we were tracking down the one true God!

We joined Captain Crispy and the others online for a week of mystery, adventure & fun.

Don't worry if you missed out during HBC week .... you can still watch all the shows right here.

Those who registered before HBC week received an Islander Pack filled with all the things they would need for the featured craft activities throughout HBC week. If you're watching these shows, maybe you can find similar materials and still make the crafts featured in the shows.

Check out our Holiday Bible Club Facebook Page to see what else we got up to during HBC week.

Our Mission

A Place for Worship

The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of these occasions is a special time of spiritual refreshment. We hope this is what you desire also.

A Place for Learning

To us, studying the Bible is vital because it not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually. We believe it and accept it as God's Word to us, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today. Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure.

A Place for Enrichment

For every person at every age level we offer a wealth of opportunities - special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults which fill the church calendar. You can be sure that in this centre of activities there's more that one place where you can be personally enriched.

A Place for Friendship

Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. That's why we make it a priority to build lasting bonds between the members of our church family - bonds of concern and genuine commitment to one another. Best of all, this circle of care is ever widening. We'd love for it to include you, too.

A Place for Service

Just as Jesus Christ came "not to be ministered unto, but to minister..." we accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. This applies both within the church family and outside our fellowship. We look forward to serving you, and we hope to see you soon.

What We Believe

The complete acceptance of the following Doctrines of Faith is expected from all who become members.

  • The verbal inspiration, and the all and sole-sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as originally given.

  • The Trinity in unity of the God-Head.

  • The Essential Deity and Perfect Humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The Personality of the Holy Spirit.

  • The Personal Election to Salvation.

  • The depraved and fallen state of man through sin.

  • The Substitutionary Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The Justification of the sinner through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The personality of the Devil.

  • The immortality of the soul.

  • The personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The resurrection of the body.

  • The eternal security of the believer.

  • The conscious eternal punishment of those who die impenitent.

  • The priesthood of all believers.

  • The binding character of the ordinances of the Lord's Supper.

  • The baptism of believers and the responsibility of all saved souls to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present age.

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

Psalm 122:1
