Operation Christmas Child
On the approach to Christmas 2000 at Ballee, we made an appeal for the people to bring in shoeboxes of gifts for those children who have less than ourselves. So everyone got busy and when they were taken away to their collection point, we had a grand total of 161 shoeboxes full of exciting gifts for the children. We thank all those who kindly donated these gifts and also those who managed the whole thing so well ... WELL DONE !!!
This activity has continued year on year and in 2001 we collected 160 shoeboxes, 138 in 2002, 173 in 2003, 175 in 2004 and a much higher than average 204 in 2005. We thank all who were involved.
