Profile: I was brought up in a Christian home where I was taught the gospel and, as a child of about six years old, asked the Lord Jesus into my heart. When I was in my late teens, I was invited to come along to the Young People’s Fellowship (now known as Salt) in Ballee Baptist Church, where I was baptised and, soon afterwards, came into fellowship. God challenged me through hearing sermons and reading books on holiness, and the godly example of Christians whom He had brought into my life, and He brought me to the place where I surrendered my life into His hands: “… ye are not your own… ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). The Lord continued to lead me, although I did not always follow quickly. I became involved with The Faith Mission in my local district, and felt the Lord was directing me into evangelism in rural areas, a work The Faith Mission conducted. After spending two years training at the mission’s Bible College in Edinburgh, I joined the work of The Faith Mission in September 2007. Having spent three years conducting missions in the Highlands of Scotland, I am currently based in Aberdeen and work alongside Noel McClintock, who oversees Faith Mission outreach in the east of Scotland. We are involved in Sunday services, midweek meetings and Prayer Union groups in addition to evangelistic events and gospel missions. “Continue in prayer… praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ” (Colossians 4:2-3).
